What is Force?

  • Definition: Force is a push or pull that can make things move or stop.
    • Example: Pushing a ball to make it roll.
  • Types of Forces:
      1. Push: Pushing a door to open it.
      1. Pull: Pulling a drawer to close it.

What is Motion?

  • Definition: Motion is when an object changes its position.
    • Example: A car moving on the road.
  • Types of Motion:
      1. Straight line motion: Like a car moving on a straight road.
      1. Circular motion: Like a swing moving back and forth.

Fun Activity

Try this fun activity to understand force and motion better:

  • Materials: Toy car, ruler, and books.
  • Activity: Place the ruler as a ramp on books. Push the toy car from the top of the ramp and see how far it goes. Try changing the force by pushing harder or softer.
