Prayer and Worship

Lesson 83 of 85
1 min read Mathew Wahome

Introduction

Prayer and worship are ways of connecting with God. When we pray and worship, we show our love, respect, and gratitude to God.

What is Prayer?

  • Talking to God: Just like talking to a friend, prayer is when we talk to God. We tell Him about our day, our feelings, and ask for help.
  • Examples: Saying thank you before a meal, asking for good health, and praying for our family and friends.

What is Worship?

  • Showing Love to God: Worship is when we show God how much we love Him. We can worship through songs, dance, and praise.
  • Examples: Singing hymns in church, dancing during worship, and thanking God for His blessings.

Fun Activity

Try creating a prayer journal where you write down things you are grateful for and things you want to ask God for. You can decorate it with pictures and colors!

Remember

  • Always be honest and sincere when you pray.
  • Worship can be done anywhere, not just in church.
  • God loves us and listens to our prayers.
