Grade 6 · Religious Education 1 min read

Introduction

In today's lesson, we will learn about leaders in the Bible. Leaders in the Bible were people chosen by God to guide and help others in following God's ways.

Who were the leaders?

  • Moses: Just like a head boy or girl in school, Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt to the Promised Land.
  • David: Think of David as a class prefect who became a great king of Israel and wrote many Psalms in the Bible.
  • Deborah: Deborah was like a wise teacher who judged the Israelites and helped them in times of trouble.

How did these leaders help?

  • Leading by example: Moses showed the Israelites how to trust in God even in difficult times.
  • Making wise decisions: David's courage and wisdom helped him make good choices for his people.
  • Guiding others: Deborah listened to God's voice and guided the Israelites in the right direction.

Fun Activity

Choose one leader from the Bible (Moses, David, or Deborah) and draw a picture showing how they helped the people around them. You can also write a short sentence about why you admire that leader.
