Prayer

Grade 4 · Religious Education 1 min read

Introduction

Prayer is talking to God. It is when we speak to God to thank Him, ask for help, or just to be close to Him.

What is Prayer?

  • Thanking God: Just like when we say "thank you" to our friends or family for helping us, we can thank God for all the good things in our lives.
  • Asking for Help: When we need help with something, we can ask God to give us strength and guidance, just like how we ask our teachers for help with our schoolwork.
  • Being Close to God: Sometimes we pray just to feel close to God, like when we talk to our best friends about our feelings and thoughts.

When to Pray?

  • Morning: We can start our day with a prayer, thanking God for the new day.
  • Mealtime: Before meals, we can say a prayer to thank God for the food we have.
  • Bedtime: We can end our day with a prayer, asking for a peaceful night's sleep.
