1 min read Mathew Wahome

Introduction

Color mixing is when we mix different colors together to create new colors. It's like magic where we can make new colors by combining the ones we have!

Primary Colors

  • Red: Imagine mixing red paint with blue paint. What color do you think you will get?
  • Blue: If you mix blue paint with yellow paint, what color do you think will appear?
  • Yellow: When you mix yellow paint with red paint, what new color do you expect to see?

Secondary Colors

  • Purple: When you mix red and blue together, you get the color purple!
  • Green: Mixing blue and yellow creates the color green.
  • Orange: Combining red and yellow makes the color orange.

Fun Activity

Try mixing different colors of paint or crayons together to see what new colors you can create! You can also experiment with mixing food coloring in water to see how colors blend.

Remember

  • Mixing red and blue makes purple.
  • Blue and yellow mixed together create green.
  • Red and yellow combine to make orange.
