Measurement

Introduction

Measurement is all about comparing the size, length, weight, or amount of things. We use different units to measure different things.

Length

  • Example: You can measure the length of your table using a ruler.
  • Everyday Example: How many rulers long is your bed?

Weight

  • Example: You can measure the weight of a fruit using a scale.
  • Everyday Example: How many apples weigh the same as a watermelon?

Capacity

  • Example: You can measure the capacity of a bottle using milliliters.
  • Everyday Example: How many cups of water can your bottle hold?

Fun Activity

Try measuring different things around your house using a ruler, scale, and measuring cup. See how many units each object measures!

Remember

  • Use the right unit for each measurement.
  • Practice measuring different things to get better.
  • Always double-check your measurements for accuracy.
