Introduction

Food and Nutrition are important for our bodies to grow, stay healthy, and have energy to play and learn.

What is Food?

  • Food is what we eat to give our bodies energy and help them grow.
  • Examples of food are fruits like apples, vegetables like carrots, grains like rice, and proteins like beans.

Types of Food

  • Carbohydrates: These are energy-giving foods like bread, pasta, and maize.
  • Proteins: These are body-building foods like meat, eggs, and milk.
  • Vitamins: These are foods that help our bodies stay healthy, like fruits and vegetables.

Fun Activity

Try making a healthy sandwich with whole wheat bread, lettuce, tomato, and your favorite protein like chicken or cheese. Have fun creating your own nutritious meal!
