Reception, Response and Co-ordination

Welcome to today's lesson on how our bodies receive information, respond to it, and coordinate actions - all important functions in Biology!

Reception:

  • Our bodies receive information through our senses like eyes, ears, nose, tongue, and skin.
  • Example: When you smell your favorite food cooking, your nose is receiving information.

Response:

  • After receiving information, our bodies react to it by moving or making a decision.
  • Example: If you touch something hot, your body responds by quickly moving your hand away.

Co-ordination:

  • Co-ordination is when different parts of our body work together to perform a specific task.
  • Example: When you play soccer, your eyes watch the ball, your legs kick it, and your brain coordinates these actions.

Quick Activity:

  • Close your eyes and listen carefully. Can you identify different sounds around you? Try to guess what is making each sound.

In summary, our bodies receive information through our senses, respond to it by reacting, and coordinate different body parts to work together.
