The Bible

Introduction

The Bible is a special book that Christians believe is a message from God. It is made up of two main parts: the Old Testament and the New Testament.

What's in the Bible?

  • Stories: Just like you have storybooks at home, the Bible has stories too. For example, the story of Noah and the Ark.
  • Teachings: The Bible teaches us how to be kind, loving, and helpful to others, just like how we learn good manners in school.
  • Prayers: In the Bible, there are prayers that people use to talk to God, just like how we talk to our friends or family.

How to Use the Bible?

  • Reading: People read the Bible to learn more about God and how to live a good life, just like how we read books to learn new things.
  • Listening: Sometimes, people listen to someone read the Bible aloud in church or at home, just like how we listen to our teacher during lessons.

Fun Activity

Ask your family members if they have a Bible at home. If they do, ask them to show it to you. See if you can find a story or a verse to read together.

Remember

  • The Bible is a special book from God.
  • It has stories, teachings, and prayers.
  • People read and listen to the Bible to learn more about God and how to live a good life.
