Introduction

Creating patterns means arranging things in a specific way that repeats.

What is a Pattern?

  • Pattern: A pattern is when things are repeated in a certain order.
    • Example: In a pattern of red, blue, red, blue, red, blue... red and blue colors are repeated in a specific order.

Types of Patterns

  • Color Pattern: Like red, blue, red, blue...
  • Shape Pattern: Like circle, square, circle, square...
    • Example: In a shape pattern of circle, square, circle, square... circles and squares are repeated in a certain order.

Fun Activity

  • Activity: Collect different colored objects like crayons or toys. Create your own color pattern by arranging them in a repeated order.
